Group CEO Jim Edmondson Graduates University Of Oxford

Gilo Industries Group CEO, Jim Edmondson, graduated from the Saïd Business School at Oxford University at the weekend with an Oxford Diploma in Strategy and Innovation. Jim was watched by his proud parents, Shona and Steven, as he joined hundreds of fellow students for a graduation ceremony in the Sheldonian Theatre, designed by Christopher Wren.

The Oxford Diploma in Strategy and Innovation is a masters-level postgraduate qualification designed to enhance the understanding of important trends in the global business environment and develop the ability to lead innovation strategy, creating and capturing value from new technologies and emerging markets.  Designed for senior managers this intellectually rich programme focuses on the latest research and thinking on strategy and innovation from the world-leading University of Oxford faculty, while exchanging experiences and discussing strategic issues with a senior management peer group from around the globe.

The programme is based on four taught modules of four days each in the areas of strategy, innovation and entrepreneurship, international business and strategy execution. The modular programme structure allowed Jim the opportunity to study alongside the vigour of spearheading the Group on a daily basis. Jim completed the prestigious University of Oxford postgraduate-level qualification in 18 months.

Jim previously graduated with a diploma in Engineering and a BSc Hons in Oceanography & Business.  He went on to achieve a CIM post-graduate certificate in Marketing and completed a Business to Consumer Marketing qualification from the Kellogg School of Management.
