Rotron Hosts Successful Supplier Day

Rotron Power is celebrating a successful supplier engagement day held at its UK Headquarters, having welcomed precision engineering and technical suppliers to meet key members of the team and outline the scope of works to understand more about possible collaboration opportunities.

The event was hosted in partnership with the West of England Aerospace Forum (WEAF), a membership trade association that champions and supports the interests of the aerospace and defence industry in the South West of England. The forum leads the sector in delivering national supply chain initiatives, which connect the SME community to the Primes. More than 40 contractors attended the event and took away information on how to submit their capabilities and pricing to Rotron for future supply opportunities. Having heard about the wider opportunities a partnership of this nature can provide, many attendees commented on how beneficial supplier engagement days are for the growth of engineering in the South West.

Rotron’s Supply Chain Manager, Andy Timbrell, said: “Rotron is committed to supporting growth and collaboration within the aerospace and engineering industry, as part of this, we were proud to welcome so many potential new partners to our supplier engagement day. By working with external organisations we are able not only to share our wealth of experience, but also discover new ways to approach projects and initiatives.”

Adrian Harding, Business Development, WEAF added: “It can prove difficult for engineering companies to have the opportunity to get involved with specialist organisations such as Rotron. The fact that so many suppliers attended the engagement day and expressed how useful it was demonstrates how important events like these are in helping both suppliers and buyers build strong and ongoing working relationships.”
