e-Go Aeroplanes Deliver First Rotron-Powered Aircraft To Customer

Rotron Power Ltd, a subsidiary of Gilo Industries Group, would like to congratulate Keith Dennison as he becomes the first customer and owner of a remarkable e-Go light single seat aircraft, powered by the Rotron RT300efi engine.

Specially invited guests and the engineering team gathered to present the aircraft at the e-Go Aeroplanes headquarters in Cambridge, UK before Mr. Dennison took to the skies, putting the aircraft through its paces with a fantastic flying display in the British sunshine.

This is the first e-GO aircraft built specifically to customer requirements and is a landmark aircraft for the company. The compact rotary powerplant at the heart of the e-Go is the epitome of ‘big things come in small packages’ and has proven to be a durable, lightweight and high power density propulsion system for the e-Go; allowing the aircraft to meet the Single Seat DeReulated (SSDR) category. Weighing in at 23kg, the Rotron RT300efi boasts 30HP and delivers precise and responsive performance with power delivery that is as smooth and progressive. All engines produced by Rotron for e-Go Aeroplanes, including the engine in this landmark aircraft, are assembled at Rotron’s advanced, quality focused manufacturing, production and testing facility located in Dorset UK.

Jim Edmondson, CEO Rotron Power, said, “We are extremely pleased to have partnered with E-Go Aeroplanes to deliver this landmark aircraft. This is a significant milestone for both Rotron and e-Go Aeroplanes. It represents a huge collaborative effort with our e-Go colleagues in Cambridge and underscores the effectiveness of our working relationship to date. I and the entire Rotron team look forward to working with e-Go Aeroplanes to fulfil its engine requirements over the coming years, creating a truly innovative UK designed and manufactured light aircraft.”
